About This Course

This module focuses on advanced theoretical and practical frameworks for managing digital trans-formation and its impact on work and organizational structures. Students examine how data-driven strategies, human-AI collaboration, and algorithmic management systems reshape modern organi-zations and workforce dynamics.

The rapid advancement of digital technologies requires leaders to rethink traditional management practices, address the psychological impacts of automation, and develop responsible approaches to digital HR transformation. This module equips students with the critical evaluation skills needed to navigate the complexities of digital management while balancing technological efficiency with human values and employee well-being.

Learning Objectives

This course is offered as a micro degree.

  • German UDS Micro Degrees are compatible with the European MOOC Consortiums Common Micro Credentials Framework.
  • Micro Degrees will be rewarded with an equivalent of 5 ECTS.
  • Micro Degrees are offered to non-regular students and require a fee of €900.

Course Staff

Prof. Dr. Georg Loscher is a Senior Researcher at the German University of Digital Science, specializing in the digital transformation of management. He previously held a senior research position at the Universität der Bundeswehr München, where he completed his PhD and habilitation. Dr. Loscher has also conducted academic visits at the University of Oxford and Trinity College Dublin, focusing on how digital technologies reshape management and work.
