German UDS International Scholarship 2026–2027

The German University of Digital Science (German UDS) offers the International Digital Excellence Scholarship to support talented and motivated students from around the world.

This scholarship reflects our mission to make high-quality digital education globally accessible, while attracting future digital leaders aligned with our vision.

The award is offered as a tuition fee bursary for the first year of study (2026–2027 intake).

Tuition fee reduction only for the first year of study, applicable to eligible international students based on region and merit.

Scholarships are awarded based on a holistic evaluation of:

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must:

  • Hold an offer for a Master’s or MBA program at German UDS
  • Be classified as an international (non-German) fee-paying student
  • Be self-funded (not fully sponsored by external organizations)
  • Be a citizen or an ordinary resident (see below for the definition of ordinary residence) in one of the countries specified above

Must Demonstrate

  • Strong academic performance
  • Interest in digital technologies (AI, cybersecurity, digital leadership, etc.)
  • Motivation to contribute to a global digital community

How to Apply

If you meet all the eligibility criteria, you will need to lodge an application to our Student Affairs team. The University will assess your eligibility based on the above-mentioned eligibility criteria.

  1. Prepare Documents

    Gather your motivation statement (max 500 words), portfolio, and LinkedIn profile

  2. Submit Application

    Lodge your application including all required documents

  3. Eligibility Review

    The University assesses your eligibility based on the specified criteria

  4. Decision Notification

    Receive scholarship decision within 1–2 weeks after admission

Terms and Conditions

  1. 1.Scope

    • Scholarship applies only to the first year of study
  2. 2.Combination Rules

    • Cannot be combined with other major discounts (see terms of applicable scholarships and discounts)
  3. 3.Non-Transferable

    The scholarship:

    • Cannot be transferred to another intake
    • Cannot be deferred
    • Cannot be exchanged for cash
  4. 4.Admission Requirements

    • Students must meet all admission requirements and enrol within the confirmed intake window

What is "Ordinary Residence"?

For the purposes of assessing eligibility for the scholarship, you must have been ordinarily resident in one of the countries listed above, for the three-year period prior to commencing your course.

Ordinarily resident means that you must have been habitually, normally and lawfully residing in one of the countries listed above, from choice, for the specified period. The three-year period for courses starting in October 2026 is calculated as 1 September 2023 to 1 September 2026.

Temporary absences during this three-year period may be permitted at the discretion of the relevant University officer. Students may be asked to provide documentary evidence to determine ordinary residence and an assessment of whether a student meets the ordinary residence criteria will normally be made by the Head of Admissions or their nominee, and their decision will be final.
