Welcome Weeks
If you're a newly enrolled student at German UDS, the Welcome Weeks is where your journey begins: your first course, your first connections, and a warm welcome into our vibrant community.
From October 6–10, 2025, we’ve prepared an exciting program to ensure your smooth transition into our innovative digital campus. This opportunity is open to all students registered for master’s, MBA and micro degree programs this fall.
The week is packed with hands-on workshops, valuable resources, and opportunities to build lasting connections. Here is what you can look forward to:
- Discover German UDS: Familiarize yourself with our virtual campus, meet key staff members, and explore the unique environment that will host your academic experience.
- Meet the Faculty: Get to know your professors, their pioneering research, and the cutting-edge courses they teach.
- Connect with Peers: Join team-building activities and collaborative challenges to forge meaningful academic relationships.
- Master Essential Tools: Learn to navigate our learning platform and online systems to streamline your academic experience.
- Design Thinking Compact: Enhance your innovation skills and collaborative mindset during Design Thinking activities, where you’ll tackle real-world challenges in team settings.
Earn a Free Certificate: The Digital University Essentials Badge recognizes your proficiency with the learning platform, your familiarity with a design thinking mindset for enhanced remote collaboration, and your self-management skills in online learning. It is awarded for active participation during the Welcome Week. In the master's program, this badge may be required as an entry criterion for certain classes, ensuring you have benefited from the introductory training to smoothly transition into your educational journey.
