Design Thinking Research explores the scientific foundations of why and how design thinking succeeds, or fails in some cases. The field aims to understand, explain, predict, and facilitate creativity, collaboration, and ethically responsible innovation. It focuses on the four pillars of creative mastery, offering knowledge, skills, and competencies related to creative People, Processes, Places, and Products. Adopting a systemic perspective and integrating a variety of research methodologies, the research spans multiple scales, from individual brain dynamics to societal developments. Neurodesign contributes by providing data-driven insights from psychophysiology to investigate and advance desirable forms of technological innovation, particularly in the context of digital transformation.
