Digital Learning of the Future

To conclude his digital policy summer tour, Digitalization Minister Dr. Benjamin Grimm is visiting the German University of Digital Science (German UDS) in the media city of Babelsberg today. This fully digital and English-language university serves as a prime example of innovative educational formats in the digital age.

Located in Potsdam, German UDS is one of Germany's first purely digital universities. Founded by Prof. Dr. Christoph Meinel and Prof. Dr. Mike Friedrichsen, its academic programs are geared towards an international audience and cover key areas of digital transformation – including digital science, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and virtual and augmented reality.

Dr. Grimm will gain insights into the university's Learning Management System and the "Campus of Virtual Education" – a fully virtual, digital learning environment that enables modern higher education to be location-independent and flexible.

Digitalization Minister, Dr. Benjamin Grimm explains: “With the German UDS, a pioneering model for digital higher education is being created in Brandenburg. The combination of scientific excellence, digital infrastructure, and an international focus is a groundbreaking impetus for Potsdam as a center of education.”
